All ears

This mickey mouse game is an attempt to to bring a famous mouse back into the spot light. This game will appeal to the little ones as an adventure games, playing as mickey mouse which is always fun. also this game will be attracted to the heavy loyalty that mickey mouse has behind him. i am not interested in this game at all because i am not a fan of mickey mouse and i don't think i ever will be. I was a fan when i was little but i grew out of that stage and I don't think i will ever go back.

Christmas trees: Do you prefer real or artificial?

Real or Artificial, is always the question when it come to Christmas trees. The pros of artificial Christmas tress i believe out weigh the cons. because they last for years and don't smell and no major clean up of pine needles. But sometimes it is all about the spirit of Christmas to get a real tree, also many people make a living on growing and selling Christmas trees. But every years a new one can cost a lot and a artificial tree could be a option to save money. Also if you are like me and you get a big tree every year for your house they can get expensive. So artificial tree would be right for me and my mom loves to decorate the tree so it looks exactly the same as a real tree.

Are we Digital Dummies?

Are we digital dummies explains that we are to attached to the technology that we own ex: our phone and laptops. i really enjoyed this video because it opened my eyes and made me realize we are to attached to our phone's and computers way to much. Cell phones almost have total control of us because when ever they go off we all jump and race to see what it is. this video provides great examples that show situation that were are in and our attention in totally on our cell phone's and nothing else, putting many people in danger.

Rogers Buying The Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto FC, and the Toronto Rapters

If Rogers buys the three Toronto teams from the Teacher's union I don't think this will be good but could possibly happen because, the major reason that the deal might go through is that Teacher's have taken the most advantage of the teams as possible. By have the price of tickets and food at the highest price they could possible be. With the teacher's union take to full advantage of these teams they might think it will be time to bail and if they do sell it to Rogers they will have total control of the teams. wich  would be bad for my family becasue i dont think Rogers would not allow CBC to brodcast the leafgames anymore becasue Rogers own Sports netconnected.

A Teacher Tried to Ban Pencils and Pens in school.

i think this is ridicules, there are way more dangerous things in the classroom for example the stapler and scissors. For a teacher to do this and be serious about it scary that there might be something wrong with the teacher's head. I am glad that the school did not allow the teacher to fallow through with the teachers rule and students are still aloud to bring in their own pencils and pens.

Million $ Cameras

this article is about in movie making the camera's they use cost Millions of $. these cameras are operated by 2 or 3 men, one man operates the turns 2 levers, one tilts the camera up or down and the second one moves it left and right, the second man pushes the camera back and for as it moves along a track that is set up one at a time. the last man operates the hydraulics that lifts and lowers the camera. I had the amazing opportunity to operate one of these cameras when we where shooting my Grandfathers movie. It was so much fun but it felt weird because it i broke it i was going to be in so much trouble. these cameras are amazing and i was so fortunate that i could say i operated one of those.

Online Hate: An Introduction

The internet is a place where people can go to find information on anything that they would like. For some it’s a place that they may wish to enjoy them selves, and for others is a place for mocking people. The latest reports refurs to comments that people have made to mock other peoples religions and befifes. In conclusion my opinion is that this is wrong what people are doing to insult others of their religions and belfis that they have.

Saw’ franchise creates buzz, but is it any good?

People are staring to enjoy the bloody grusome films of horror. Such as saw.   Saw has earned over $1 billion at the box office. These types of films are very popular to many.  These films are rated R and are making loads of money over at the box office. These films are making a huge success. I do not personally enjoy horror films, because they do not attract my attention a suitable film that I would enjoy.

YouTube: Fair Use Vs. Copyright Laws

In May of 2008 Viacom bought a $1 billion dollar lawsuit confirming that YouTube is failing to protect the owners of copy writing. Some examples are of songs and videos. If anyone copy writes a song, they would be fined $150,000 for not having the permission of use to copy write the song or a video. Technally it is called playderisum. Further ado this will be stopped and this is part of my opinion and I do agree with Viacom that this is not alright and that the owners of the playderisum piece will be find.

Television Violence

The parents television council has now been discussing more about television violence. Such as Desperate Housewives, and CSI Miami. These are acts upon women that alarm the media. These are offenses such as beating and sexual assault. Fox television has been reported for using violence against women. There have been over 3,900 violence acts and have increased 2 percent in 2004. Parents are also aware of there children’s viewing of these violent shows. In conclusion these violent acts especially on women should be stopped for safety reasons one example is children’s viewings on what they see on television. My opinion is that I do agree with parents television council.

Lesson 14

Do a Nobel Experiment

Nobel Prize for CCD Technology

The fastest CCD video camera, can take 100,000 pictures per second. The CCD received a Nobel Prize back in 1921. The other half of the physics prize goes to Charles Kao, who laid the theoretical groundwork for high-speed, fiber-optic communication. In the 1960’s scientists were just starting to experiment with transmitting light through glass fibers, but Kao could transmit pulses of light 5 times farther than regular glass. 40 years later, thanks to Kao, it takes no more than a quarter second for data to make the trip halfway around the world. Now it takes 1 second for 700 DVDs to be transmitted to Chicago from Paris France. Optical fiber, which Charles used, is found deep into the world’s oceans. It could be stretched over 1 billion kilometers. Or in other words it can circle the earth 25,000 times. The U.S. Company corning, a glass company is the largest producer of optical fiber in the world. With out Charles Kao’s theory, computers would have never been fast and this all would have never happened. So I say thanks to Charles Kao for giving us the opportunity to make technology what it is today because if it went for you  the life as we know it would be totally different.

Warning: this unrealistic image has been Photo shopped.

Photoshop Ethics

A man by the name Valerie Boyer, has proposed a law that would require enhanced images to explain a warning, to viewers making it clear that they are not looking at an original image.  Valerie Boyer believes that the disclaimer would help bring young children back to reality of life and help promote a healthier body image for all with out needing any tampering with. Valerie also stated that photos could lead people to believe in a reality that does not actually exist, and have a negative effect on children.  If this law is passed and advertisers such as press photos, political campaigns, art photography, and photos on product packaging.  Any of these who do not apply by the law will be find $55,440 or up to 50 percent of the cost of the campaign. I believe that this article show that some people are upset because how Photoshop artist manipulate the looks of other women just to make other feel inferior. I look at this law in a positive way because even though how great it is to see beautiful images of women. I don’t not believe I is right to make them look like a Barbie doll just for the publicity of the company no women’s image is worth that.

Honda Accord Ad.

This video is an advertisement for the Honda Accord. The ad is based upon a Rube Goldberg Machine, which is made up of only car parts. At the end of the Rube Goldberg Machine it ends with the car remote closing the rear hatch of a Honda car and the Accord rolling off a pedestal and the banner rolling down in the front.

The techniques and technologies used to make this advertisement would include: an extreme amount of patience and time to set up this Rube Goldberg Machine, plus, it would require a deep thought process in how to set it up and have it executed. This must have been tested a hundred times to get it just right as well as tons of things that would be needed to take into consideration. Like the weight and size of each item used.  The technology that was used to make this video that would be operated by a human following the camera down the track as the Rube Goldberg Machine is in effect. I really enjoyed this video because it was very unique on how they used the car parts the way they did. I believe this video is very successful in the approach it was attended for. On another note this could make you think that something this amazing could only be computer generated, what do you think?
